Special Needs Cat in Need of a Forever Home
Back in June, a friend of our's who works tirelessly to help the stray cats in Hartford trapped this sweet guy she named Juggy. As is often the case, Juggy ended up being an incredibly sweet and affectionate boy. Unfortunately, he did test positive for both FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) as well as FeLV (feline leukemia virus). This was discouraging and upsetting news. While he will not have the lifespan of a cat without these diseases, it means more than ever that this boy deserves to find a loving home soon. His diagnosis should not deprive him of that. We would love to be a part of finding that very special home for this love muffin. Juggy would need to either be the only cat in the home or live with other FeLV+ cats. His favorite things to do are play with his toys and scratchers, but his MOST favorite thing of all is to make "biscuits" and cuddle up with his humans. He is currently being fostered in a home with two ten year old children and he is phenomenal with them. If anyone is interested in opening up their hearts and home to this guy, please email us at email@example.com. Juggy has been vaccinated and neutered.
This year we have a mission to be much more involved in Trap, Neuter, Release efforts in Hartford. We work with a few very dedicated trappers in the city who work tirelessly to help put a dent in the cat overpopulation issue. We work with these individuals to provide funding to get these cats altered and vaccinated. Sometimes there are cats with severe medical issues which we need to address and that puts a further dent in our funds. These include cats with pyometra, wounds that need attention, dental extractions, etc. Our trappers are amazing and we are so happy to be able to partner with them to accomplish this mission, but obviously we cannot without the proper funding. If you would like to help us help these cats, tax-free donations can be sent to us via Paypal or Venmo () or via check to: Kenway’s Cause, P.O. Box 935, Windsor CT 06095. We are implementing a program called “Sponsor a Feral” and for a $50 donation we can designate a specific cat that will be benefiting from your generosity and send you a photo. If you would like to do this, please make sure you include a comment/note with your donation and make sure you include your email address so we can communicate. Donations will also be used for materials to continue to be able to build feeding stations and shelters for the colony cats. We have been able to provide quite a few of these already but they are always in need of more! Additionally we are constantly in need of foster homes for adult cats, sometimes there are cats that are trapped that are friendly and/or may just require some socialization, we want to be able to have a safe place for them to go rather than being released back to the colony. If you are interested in fostering please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for a foster application. These pictures below are some of the cats we have been able to assist alongside our amazing trappers. As always we appreciate your support!
