Heeeere's Lovey! Those of you who follow the Hartford Shelter page know that Lovey just couldn't seem to find her perfect family. She met a couple of very nice people but due to her inability to get along with felines and not always being thrilled with female dogs she met - she just couldn't find a home and ran out of time. We are SO very grateful that one of our fosters stepped up to help Lovey. She sure was happy to be in a warm home with a soft bed and kind people! Her foster reported last night: "Lovey is such a happy girl, as I'm sure you already know. She seems to be very housebroken, going as soon as we get outside. She climbed in her crate before it was even all the way assembled. She had a little washcloth bath and she really seemed to enjoy it. As I write this, she is snoring in her bed next to me. She seems like a gem!" So Lovey is out of the pound and I know there is a collective sigh of relief about that - but her journey isn't over yet. Now we need your help to find her the forever home she deserves and then our foster can be freed up to help another urgent dog. We will post updates and new pics as we get them. Lovey is about 2 years old, approximately 45 pounds although she could use some meat on her bones. She will be spayed and completely vetted prior to leaving her foster home. Our adoption fee for dogs is $250.00. As of right now we can difinitely say no cats for Lovey, however we don't want to completely rule out female dogs just yet. Lovey LOVES kids. If you are interested in Lovey, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application. Home visit required prior to adoption. Thanks for your suppport!
